Christmas Eve is here and I have forgotten to mention some of the amazing things Berlin has to offer so cozy up with a cup of coffee and get a glimpse of some Christmas Market fun from across the miles. With over 60 Christmas markets to choose from, here are just a few to enjoy.
The Weihnachtsmarkt vor dem Schloss (Palace) Charlottenburg bustles with activity.
The traditional German carousel hovers over a bar serving beer, eggnog and glühwein.
The Gendarmenmarkt between the German and French Domes hosts the “classiest” Christmas Market.
The lights and pretty decorations capture our attention.
Although the snacks like roasted chestnuts are inviting at the City Weihnachtsmarkt by the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church…
Sheldon thinks the bratwurst with mustard is pretty darn good too!
But the glühwein at Potsdamer Platz is not bad either.
Especially when it’s cold and raining outside. Cheers y’all.
Along the Berlin Wall, the boys recognize that freedom is always to be revered.
And are also reminded at Checkpoint Charlie.
The Menorah can be seen at Brandenburg Gate. Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends!
And look, there is a speck of sunshine way out yonder. How nice.
Big hugs and wish y’all a Merry Christmas Eve from Norway.
